Aghaz Engineering, originally established in 1987 as AGHAZCOM, began its journey specializing in the development and production of equipment and accessories for terrestrial microwave applications. The company quickly gained recognition for its expertise and innovative approach within this niche.

In response to technological advancements and market demands, AGHAZCOM diversified its product line, expanding into the consumer Television Receive-Only (TVRO) market. By 1999, the company identified a growing demand for two-way satellite-based communication solutions, encompassing voice, video, and data transmission. Leveraging this opportunity, AGHAZCOM emerged as a prominent leader in Pakistan's manufacturing and supply of Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) systems and earth station equipment.

History and Evolution of Aghaz Engineering

Early 2000s

During the early 2000s, AGHAZCOM solidified its position as a key contributor to Pakistan’s defense communication infrastructure. The company played an instrumental role in enhancing communication systems for various branches of the Defense Forces of Pakistan. Noteworthy contributions included the manufacturing of Ground Control Stations (GCS) for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and the production of Pneumatic Catapult Launchers designed for Target Drones.

Additionally, AGHAZCOM developed Trolley-Mounted Towers, ranging from 55 to 100 feet in height, to establish robust communication links between operational assets. These innovations significantly improved the efficiency and reliability of defense communications across various platforms and operational scenarios.

Rebranding and Strategic Expansion (2018–Present)

In 2018, the company embarked on a transformative rebranding journey, emerging as Aghaz Engineering. This strategic shift paved the way for expanded operations with a strong focus on the production of Flyaway and Manpack VSAT Antenna Systems, specifically designed and tailored to meet the unique requirements of the Pakistan Air Force and NASTP (National Aerospace Science and Technology Park)

Deployment of Water Telemetry Systems for 39 Dams and Barrages – IRSA Project (2000)

In 2000, we played a pivotal role in the deployment of water telemetry systems across 39 dams and barrages for the Indus River System Authority (IRSA). The primary contract was awarded to Siemens, with Supernet serving as a subcontractor. Operating as a subcontractor under Supernet, our team was responsible for the manufacture and deployment of all C-Band 3-meter center-fed antennas, ensuring reliable and uninterrupted water telemetry communication.

Remarkably, these systems remain fully operational to this day, standing as a testament to our commitment to quality, precision engineering, and long-term reliability in critical infrastructure projects.

Deployment of C-Band Telecommunication Systems for NADRA – Early 2000s

In the early 2000s, we played a vital role in the deployment of C-Band telecommunication systems for NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority). The primary contract was awarded to Bukhari Telecom, with our team serving as a subcontractor responsible for the installation and commissioning of 3.0m C-Band antennas across 9 remote stations. Demonstrating exceptional efficiency and technical expertise, we successfully completed the installation of these systems across 9 key locations—Quetta, Peshawar, Karachi, Sukkur, Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, and Multan—all within an impressive timeframe of just 9 days. This achievement underscored our ability to execute mission-critical projects under tight deadlines, delivering robust and reliable communication infrastructure essential for NADRA's nationwide operations.
